Our Story

Built from the ground up,
family and craft

Argo Construction was founded in 2015 with a clear focus: build quality homes and deliver honest work across northeast Alabama. From the start, the business carved out a specialty in log homes and fully custom residential builds, taking on projects that other contractors often pass over.

The story behind Argo is a family one. The current owner grew up spending summers on job sites, working alongside his father and learning the trade from the ground up. When his father retired, the business passed into his hands, and he carried forward the same standards and work ethic that built the company's reputation.

Michael and Argo Construction went above and beyond for us in installing board and batten vinyl in our home and painting as well. Reasonably priced, professional, with excellent communication and service throughout. We are highly impressed with everything start to finish and highly recommend them for any job you need for your home or business. Thank you!!!

St Mc Google review · May 2026

Our log home had a significant amount of water damage due to a busted water pipe and 2 bedrooms, master bath, half bath and all flooring throughout the house had to be replaced and remodeled. Mr. Helms and his crew were AMAZING! They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and did an amazing job! We are throughly pleased with his work and such a trustworthy man. He even began work on our home prior to receiving any money from our insurance company, because he’s just that kind of guy. If you need any type of work done on your home, contact him. I promise you will not be disappointed!
